Mammography Procedure
- The patient is asked to stand in front of a specialized mammography machine
- The breast is placed on a flat imaging plate by a trained female technician
- It is gently compressed with another plate for clear imaging for a few seconds
- Low-dose X-rays are taken from different angles
- Each image takes a few seconds
- The procedure may cause mild discomfort, but it is quick and manageable

Preparation for Mammography
